We should be deeply alarmed that the Premier is talking about permanently arming the “Community Security Group”, a Mossad-linked Zionist organisation that runs paramilitary training camps in Israel. www.abc.net.au/news/2025-12...
When quizzed about it, the premier flagged that arming CSG NSW would also be considered. "Clearly from media reports and my own enquiries, that CSG was in contact with NSW Police, and while there were police on site, clearly not enough to deal with the threat as history's tragically shown," he said. "Now that means a root and branch change to security protocols and provisions in place. "It also means we need to have a longer, deeper look at arming CSG. Now that is a step that we haven't taken in the past."

This data is old (2017) but it makes a point I’m not tiring to repeat: as privileged people we are terrible at estimating how good we have it. Americans and Australians think that a whopping 43% of the world are richer than they are. The median US income puts you in the top three percent globally.

There were no cervical cancer cases diagnosed in women aged <25 years in 2021 – the first time that this has occurred in data going back to 1982. This remarkable achievement is almost certainly due to the impact of HPV vaccination. Across women screened at all ages, biopsy confirmed pre-cancer (HSIL) detection rates have also declined, by 21%, most likely reflecting a lower detection of disease among participants returning for their second round of HPV-based screening. Lower rates are expected, as most prevalent disease was detected and treated in the first round (age-standardised rate per 1,000 women screened was 7.5 in 2024, compared to 9.6 in 2019, the corresponding year in the first round of HPV screening) (indicator 3).

My ideal gun policy would ensure that almost no one* had a gun at home. Recreational hunting would be banned. Gun clubs would be required to store their members' guns with high levels of security. Workers who need guns (security guards, licensed shooters) would store them at their workplace.
