If you find a figure for a presentation that has been plagiarized (style, color, etc.) from another original publication, but the plagiarized version is slightly better for the presentation. Which one to cite if you use the plagiarized version ? (yes I'm talking about BioRender) 🤔 #science #research

Anecdotally, a few years ago a very trigger-happy temperate had infected a strain of E. coli of mine and caused significant lysis. The release of enzymes in the medium degraded a sugar into a different form which could be used by the other cells.
Phage-mediated lysis increases growth rate of surviving bacterial cells
Bacterial phage infection and subsequent lysis are traditionally considered mechanisms of bacterial mortality and viral propagation; additionally, emerging evidence indicates that they may also contri...

If you've ever wanted to know what the actin filaments on the scales in a developing moth wing look like in 3D, here you go!

Kyle DeMarr from @mullinslab.bsky.social acquired these beautiful data on the single objective light sheet at the UCSF Center for Advanced Light Microscopy.

Time and time again, it's always the same picture. DIA-NN controls FDR correctly as data reliability has been the main goal at DIA-NN's conception back in 2017 and a priority since then.

Only if the authors choose to do so for the preprints of course.*

Is it a possibility to anonymize the authors and affiliations and remove contact info in the manuscript so that on-site communication is required?
