One Black woman I will ALWAYS love, adore, and respect, is Dr Ruha Benjamin. Her "Black faces in high places will not save us" speech, gave me hope that there's a lot of Black folks in the US who understand that Black imperialists like obama and harris ain't the key to the liberation of Black folks.
For a very long time, Black folks in the US have been sold the lie that “making it” = sitting at the table of white supremacist and capitalist power. The same table that is propped up by the same systems that exploit our communities. Representation ≠ liberation.
