There’s a follow on joke somewhere here about wrong consonant and re-engaging with the continent.

Probably best left alone so we can all revel in the joys of “fisting rights”.

Thank you for that image @roberthutton.co.uk

As you say, great to see this kind of analysis being given time and space.

Well said
There's a rumour that Nigel Farage is keeping his head down because he's off to a Trump cheerleading conference over the weekend.

I’m afraid I’m being proved right- Farage is far more interested in Trump's success than British security. He is a bootlicker and a plastic patriot.

🧵"So this is how liberty dies..."

Trump’s first 3 weeks have been a relentless flood of actions. It's incredibly hard to keep up.

I’ve gone through 69 actions & mapped out the pattern - showing how they fall within 5 broad domains consistent with authoritarian states 1/9

“It’d be funny if it weren’t so serious.” Yep, but we left funny behind some time ago. We’re also heading past serious, on to dangerous, and getting ever closer to terrifying. Thank you @lewisgoodall.com for calling out this madness.
Still internalising the Vance Munich speech. A sitting Vice President goes to Europe, barely says a word about the despotic murderous regime which has invaded its neighbour, and instead lectures his allies about freedom of speech. It’d be funny if it weren’t so serious.

“What wretched question have you prepared for me?” My surreal Q&A with Alexander Lukashenko. He claimed his opponents had “chosen” prison or exile (in reality the authorities had chosen to target them.) Plus, "Prison is for people who opened their mouths too wide" Thanks @lizashuvalova.bsky.social

We expect that some 50 Auschwitz Survivors will come to the Memorial for the 80th anniversary of the liberation.

The eyes and ears of the world should rest upon them.

We must safeguard their voices from silence, distortion, or being overshadowed.

The good news? I was at least putting it into rather than taking it out of the dishwasher at the time.
