one thing i think about @moiradonegan.bsky.social's point is that you never hear people go from "male loneliness" -> why don't we get men involved in collective projects of meaning for the most part. instead it's usually a discussion about how society is too "feminine"

“Male loneliness” is a vague, empirically unfalsifiable Potemkin village of an argument meant to smuggle yet more anti feminism into popular consensus.

If a poly transgender furry can kick it with a city councilor at Yur’s on a Tuesday night, I’d say we’ve got some good representation. I want more socialism. To make that happen we have to support the politicians that align with us, even if we disagree on some specifics.

I agree!! If I were in Portland right now, I'd be pushing one of the @portlanddsa.bsky.social committees to get involved with @healthcareforallor.bsky.social to build some political pressure in this direction.

i think the feds letting health insurance premiums go up 200% is really going to light a fire under the oregon legislature's ass wrt our healthcare for all oregon plan. it wouldn't be fully implemented until 2030 so we would all go broke in the meantime but i bet it passes and we get it
