This thread next time someone “both sides” you about political violence 👇🏻
The Minnesota assassin appears to be a hate-filled right winger. So can we stop walking on eggshells about MAGA's legitimization of political violence?

Yes, Republicans have also been the target of inexcusable violence, but this isn't a "both sides" issue.

My parents are well acquainted with military parades from their time in the Soviet Union. I asked my mother what she thought of Trump having one on his birthday. She replied "at least the communists did it on national holidays to pretend it was for us."
Trump says anybody who protests the military parade on Sunday will be met with “very heavy force”

Back in the USSR

A 🧵

Here’s a joke for you: “After a speech, Brezhnev confronts his speechwriter. "I asked for a 15-minute speech, but the one you gave me lasted 45 minutes!" The speechwriter replies: "I gave you three copies..."

If you think a just-fertilized ovary is entitled to life but are indifferent to what happens to a kidnapped 4-year-old with cancer, sent to a dangerous country without meds, you don’t give a fuck about the lives of children. You are just in a cult that fetishizes being against abortions.

An 89-year-old Holocaust survivor. A 93-year-old woman who never protested before. They're mad as hell at what Trump is doing to America, as they joined about 80 others in their senior complex in Haverford, Pa. for a "No Kings!" protest like no other

My new column www.inquirer.com/opinion/comm...
In Haverford, 80-somethings and 90-somethings take to the road to protest Trump
They saw the Holocaust, WWII and Vietnam, and these senior protesters on Philly's Main Line have seen enough of Trump.

Tomorrow’s going to be a good stress test of the press. El Salvadoran President Bukele will visit the White House. At the press availability, every Q ought to be about Abrego Garcia: where is he now? Did US ask you to return him? etc. WH will hate, maybe try to prevent, so all should band together.

Calm down, folks, it was just an attempted assassination of a Jewish Democratic governor and his family on the first night of Passover, it’s not like somebody spray painted a dick on a Cybertruck.

hey @latimes.com what's up with cancelling my PRE-PAID digital subscription with no notice and signing me out of my #LATimes app and website. Not a great way to treat a long time subscriber who's already on the verge of non-renewal due to your cowardly editorial policies during the last election.

Want to be part of the 3.5% that could save 🇺🇸??
A Harvard political scientist studied change movements around the world and found that 3.5 percent of a population taking to the streets can demand redress from a government and achieve political change. That’s 12 million Americans.

@maddow.msnbc.com Super disappointed to see our hardworking Democratic Rep @mikelevin.org mis-characterized on your broadcast last night. He has heal countless in-person Town Halls. GOP Rep. Young Kim, on the other hand, is AWOL. Hope you’ll widely share a correction. Thank you.
