My husband has sort of shut down so I've just gone through and applied for every welding job in like a 45 mile radius. We needed help before, now we're desperate as he was laid-off 3 weeks ago. Updated gofundme.

The U.S. and the Philippines are the only two countries with a for-profit bail industry, says civil rights lawyer @equalityalec.bsky.social. The insistence that people in pre-trial detention pay to get out of jail leads to "millions of coerced guilty pleas" by poor people each year, he says.

Hell no! We can not let Palantir build a national directory in health care.
"The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services appears to be quietly considering Palantir to support its efforts to build a national provider directory for health care providers and patients across the country."

The UK fought back against Palantir in NHS. We can too.

They denied him water for 8 days, until he died of dehydration, then covered it up. The US prison system permits — encourages — a group of prison guards to torture a mentally ill Black inmate to death. It happens over and over. You can't "reform" this.
New: Correctional staff at a Western Maryland prison shut off the water to a mentally ill man’s cell, then allowed him to suffer for eight days before he finally died of dehydration, according to a recent court filing.

It's #DisabledWomensEPD. On top of getting paid half of what a non disabled man makes, disabled women & the programs they rely on are under threat from Trump. No matter your background, race or gender, we all deserve equal pay for equal work & safe & accessible working conditions.

This is what pivoting right to "win" always accomplishes.
”If Keir Starmer had sought to hold the door open for Nigel Farage, he couldn’t have done a better job. He has manufactured disillusionment and alienation on an industrial scale. By adopting Farage-like positions on asylum and immigration, he legitimises Reform while delegitimising Labour.”
We must act now: without a written constitution, Reform UK will have carte blanche to toxify our nation | Goerge Monbiot
It means breaking with hundreds of years of tradition, but it can’t wait. As hard-right figures spread division and laud autocrats, a fail-safe is vital, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

one thing about racism is the way people will ignore the most likely explanation for something like having a Nazi tattoo for 20 years.

the most simple and obvious explanation was that he knew what it was and kept it. his excusers need to stop the embarrassing mental gymnastics.
Jewish Insider just sent out an email with an article with more Platner info. And yeah, this guy is DONE done.
