Universities make a good target because college kids routinely do and say dumb stuff. That’s part of being a college kid. The Right and the news media has done a great job of getting our country to take the dumb stuff college kids do and say far, far, more seriously than we should.

The people want civic leadership and don’t know who to turn to. Politicians telling them to vote and call is the most they’d ever had. Now they want someone to tell them how to resist just like “they” orchestrated J6. Dem pols will absolutely not give them actions. They gotta organize themselves.
Democratic leadership does not lead the *citizens*, they lead the party. We elect people to be our voices and represent us in the shaping of laws and legislation. We tell THEM when we're angry. They don't give us instruction. Fighting regimes has never worked that way anywhere, ever
