Today at 34 & Park in Minneapolis, a woman tried to drive down the street where a protest had broken out in front of a home ICE was raiding, saying she had a doctor apt to get to. ICE agents busted out her windows, cut off her seatbelt, and pulled her out before arresting her.

This is why the very first step of a new Dem majority is pro-democracy reform:
- Make DC a state (gets us one more Senate vote)
- Squash gerrymandering and make many more House seats competitive
- Eliminate EC so every vote’s vote counts
- Reform the SCOTUS, get big money out of politics

anyway as i have said many times — and literally just wrote on saturday — i think we should abolish ICE as well as unravel DHS and i welcome elected officials who embrace both outright but i am also aware that any senate majority will contain moderate and conservative democrats who need an on-ramp.
