Fabula Ultima is one of these "Games Which Are X Franchise With The Serial Numbers Removed" that are way WAY more successful than their official TTRPG counterparts.

And they getting freaking Yoshitaka Amano to make art for them is the cherry on top.

Contrary to what may seem, I enjoy the first one much more than the second one.

Nothing catapults me faster from the fiction than beginning a mission with "a whole soviet aircraft carrier group crossed the Gibraltar Strait without NATO noticing".

-Veteran/military scholar with veritable historic expertise who puts the most realistic yet boring stuff.
-Clearly ignorant of any kind of geopolitics fan who crafts a playabe, yet deranged, scenario.
