i think if you use genai for anything, even writing an email, you're both a moron and a huge baby, and i dont want to play your video game as a result. its not that hard!
As the backlash to generative AI in video games continues to pick up steam heading into 2026, it'll be fascinating to see what is considered "made with generative AI." Can a dev team say they're not using AI if they're writing design docs with Copilot or using chatGPT to make schedules and budgets?

Coming back to this, I'm still struck by the implication that academics should care if the AI pushers "trust" all our work that's done without AI.
I don't know, man, you all seemed to trust our work enough to steal it from us wholesale.

Shorting previews doesn't solve the over saturation of releases. Especially when you cut out creators from the preview season. If anything that's pushing for a sets failure. Sets live or die on community sentiment. Taking creators out of the equation and jam packing previews is a recipe for disaster
Seeing how almost no community members/creators got previews for Lorwyn, how hard and early Marvel is getting pushed, and how UB is making up the majority of next year's releases, it's hard to not feel kind of exhausted about Magic right now.
