Meanwhile I'm in an email chain in work about how the new upright bike stands are not made for the size of my XL frame bike.
I laughed at the men on tiny bikes and this is their revenge...

Love that Jo Firestone's follow-up to Murder on Sex Island is called Sex on Murder Island.
Cover for Sex on Murder Island, featuring simple stylised views of a door ajar with a foot behind it and a cityscape on either side of the door.

Was in Rome a few years ago, went to the Sistine Chapel - As I was on the stairs out of the chapel some American shuffling out ahead of me - realising the stairs was the exit - yelled, in sincere disbelief and outrage "Was that it?! One room?" and began discussing getting their money back.

TFW you paid $1400 to see Beckett’s most famous work without knowing anything about it
One Star Review of Waiting for Godot on Broadway
I recently attended Waiting for Godot on Broadway and spent over $1,400 for two Row C seats (103 and 104). I'm a longtime admirer of Broadway productions and even hold a season pass for Shea's Performing Arts Theatre, so I came in with genuine enthusiasm and high expectations. Unfortunately, this show was unlike anything ! have ever experienced —and not in a good way.
What I encountered was not the artistry, music, or emotional storytelling I usually associate with Broadway, but instead what felt like an endless cycle of nonsensical conversation between characters who seemed trapped in their own madness. I tried-truly tried-to find meaning, symbolism, or even a thread of emotional resonance. I stayed through the first half hoping the second would offer clarity. But by intermission, it was clear: this was a waste of both time and money.
Keanu Reeves is an actor I respect greatly, but I cannot fathom why he would agree to participate in such a disjointed, inaccessible production. His talent was lost in a performance that defied reason rather than provoked insight.
To anyone considering attending: unless you are drawn to highly abstract, nearly incomprehensible theater, I strongly caution you against this show. For the average, educated, thoughtful theatergoer, it is far more frustrating than fulfilling. In my opinion, this was the single most disappointing Broadway experience I've ever had - an unfortunate waste of money and, more importantly, of time.

Was at the front door watching my partner head off this morning and a fox made a beeline for my front door.
Explained to him in pretty calm and clear terms why he, with his tick-ridden filthy coat, couldn't come inside but he still tried to get around my legs.
Still my least problematic neighbour.

Anyone familiar with Dawson St will know how much space The Ivy has taken up with its outdoor tables it doesn’t use and the planters around it. Now it wants more but at the Luas stop. If you’d like to be able to walk down the street and not be in over by trams please think about objecting

Is this the one where Paris becomes radicalised after working one table waiting job?
One of my favourite (read: the best) Paris episodes.
Paris Geller, working her first waiting job ever, having a galaxy brained 'class conscious' moment and declaring "Karl Marx has come alive for me today."

I seriously, without hyperbole, don't think they know how to like things for themselves.
I don't think they personally or emotionally engage with art on any level and it's weird.

Just horrible! They open their phones when they ask for film recommendations then scoff when they read the number.
Like, if it was one podcast or a Youtuber opinion they referenced I'd say "ok, they got suckered by a personality." but they're *playing themselves* using useless arbitrary metrics.

Times don't change.
Two friends of mine (to optimise time and viewing habits [read: posture through other people's reflected tastes]) patently won't watch anything with less than a 7.5 on iMDB.
It's a sad way to make decisions, and they're committed to the idea that they are the Film Experts™.

I don't trust anyone who doesn't admit having at some time in his life enjoyed trashy American movies; I don't trust any of the tastes of people who were born with such good taste that they didn't need to find their way through trash. (1969)

A lot of speculation about how things got so Stupid and Evil and I think one reason is we've collectively been too tolerant of Stupid and Evil for too long

Gavin has shown himself unfit to be President. This is why we should let our current President take a third term, despite his age. Who cares what the constitution says.

two seasons ago, Angela Bassett’s character thwarted a pirate attack while on her honeymoon cruise

last season, she landed a passenger plane on the freeway after the pilot had been yeeted out of the cabin during a tornado of bees

this is the natural progression of things

Look, I appreciate this. TV needs more of this. Let’s have fun again. Seriously things are so bad in the industry and everywhere. Let’s all turn on stuff at night together and go “that was insane” and then surprise there are 20 more episodes and the characters don’t remember being in orbit.
