I would say to dip your toes in and treat Linux like a game system with extra features. A Steam Deck and dock, or some Beelink PC with Bazzite into your capture card, and a Dualsense. Bam, you can try gaming on Linux and if it doesn't work, run it on Windows.

Odd that a conversation like this can occur without a simple reminder that he Fourth Amendment requires a judicial warrant. There is no ambiguity about this.

More back-sliding on climate: Carney is eliminating the Electric Vehicle Availability Standard that would have mandated 100% EVs by 2035. New target is 75% EVs by 2035, 90% by 2040 but it's not clear if not-yet-finalized policy will achieve this www.canada.ca/en/innovatio...

Shannon is spot on. In the 12 years since I started covering climate, I've seen the beat evolve continuously to meet the moment. My industry colleagues are some of the most curious and nuanced thinkers in media, weaving together stories from often siloed subjects like science, business and politics.
I don't say this often but: I'm so proud to be a climate and environment reporter. We cover an issue that is vitally important to humanity and the natural world. 14 of my climate colleagues at the Post were laid off today and I'm devastated.

Ronald Reagan's disastrous experiment is over, we don't have to wonder where deregulated capitalism will lead anymore. It's in front of us now, played out far longer than it should have, and people are finally seeing that it sucks ass. We have to radically reverse course, or we're cooked.

I think one thing people outside Minnesota don't understand is that after Good and Pretti were killed by feds while observing, the most normal people you could imagine have made peace with the fact that they could be next, and they are still out there because they say it's the right thing to do.
“If I am killed doing this, throw my body at the White House, martyr the shit out of me & raise hell. Do not be sad. Do not think I would do anything differently. I would do it over & over again — this is too important to sit down & shut up and not do anything.” www.mprnews.org/story/2026/0...

I kinda wanna do a video on this anime because it is an important in a way. One of the last anime productions to use cel animation, helped spearhead the maid trend in anime culture, Ep. 4 is a key development in Hiroyuki Imaishi's trademark style, etc.

The problem is that its not very good.
Welp, this is apparently leaving Hidive in a month so I might as well see if I can manage to last longer than 10 minutes into a single episode this time around.

Can comfirm from MN, as can anyone who lives here, that not a THING has changed except little Bovino isnt peacocking around the streets anymore. And there hasn’t been a third high-profile murder of a white person yet.

But the gestapo attacks haven’t stopped. At all! bsky.app/profile/jyse...
ICE hasn't stopped brutalizing people or shredding the Constitution, it's just that corporate media turned the camera as the call for action got too loud and the Democrats stepped in and made sure the issue got changed.

If you sit for a second, you'll recognize that's what happened with BLM, too.

From 2019: Jeffrey Epstein liked to describe himself as a “science philanthropist,” and academics liked to take his money.

As more of Epstein’s enablers are uncovered, it’s worth asking why it was so easy for him to infiltrate science in the first place.
