When I was an electorate MP, I would often be asked to write letters of support. Early on in my tenure, my staff and I took a decision. We would only write letters of support when we really believed in the case, Our job was to make judgememnt calls, not to just write the damn letter. 1/8

ACT and Seymour sure worked incredibly hard to ensure the public didn't have knowledge of this prior to the election. For people preaching so hard about everyone needing to be treated equally it would interesting to know if they'd have fought hard if it was another party's president.
