Every time I see some shitbag say “Let kids be kids” to denounce gender affirming care for minors, I think about my torturous days in school. Too crippled with self-hatred at the way my body was betraying me to pay attention in class or make friends. Hiding my dysphoria in an oversized ski jacket.
