The last, best description of Trump from British writer Nate White.

Homeless people are not the enemy.

They can’t “just try harder” their way into housing.

It’s the system that’s failing.

Most of us are one emergency away from being homeless ourselves.

We need affordable housing, universal basic income, healthcare & social supports.

We need a safety net

Guy who could launch nukes posts for all the world to see what he intends to be a private message to his AG.

In doing so he makes the obvious…obvious: Bondi just does whatever the hell he tells her to do. She was upset because he made clear to the world that she has no integrity.

Yet another incident that would’ve gotten any other president immediately impeached that is only the 127th worst thing Trump has done in 2025.

If a misdemeanour in another country is reason enough to arrest and deport someone, then surely 34 felonies and multiple assault charges in your own country should stop you from being president of it.

One might think.
If one thought.

Considering this administration has blown up four boats, killing 21 people, claiming they were cartel drug-runners without presenting any evidence of such … we’re in a place where if they decide someone is a “bad guy” or “antifa” they feel no inhibition of just going ahead and killing them.
premthakker.bsky.social
My gosh. After the US bombed multiple boats in the middle of the ocean, murdering people on grounds that they were allegedly "carrying drugs," the US Attorney General says "Just like we did with cartels, we're going to take the same approach, President Trump, with Antifa."

Trump’s breaking of his oath, even once, ought to cause its automatic annulment.

I’m honestly entertaining the idea that immunity shouldn’t protect Trump after all this. Having flouted his oath incessantly since the hours after he swore it, his acts in breach of his duties can in no sense be counted as official.

"He charged Trump for official acts he took as president" is completely false, Roberts lying about that notwithstanding. He was not prosecuted for an executive order, or vetoing a bill, or issuing a pardon, etc. He was prosecuted for crimes he committed while president, but in no way *as* president.

You’ve gotta be kidding me.

This WaPo editorial presents a misleading revisionist history of Special Counsel Jack Smith’s criminal cases against Trump.

Then it has the gall to compare that to Trump’s overt targeting of his perceived enemies.

Really embarrassing stuff.
But the mere fact that a legal tool might be available does not mean it should be used. The
current rage over Grassley's revelation shows why. Smith showed little restraint in his pursuit of a former president. He charged Trump for official acts he took as president. He sought a gag order to limit Trump's ability to criticize the prosecution. He tried to accelerate the case to try a leading presidential candidate before the 2024 election.

Trump has been illegally bombing boats off the coast of Venezuela.

Tim Kaine and Adam Schiff forced a vote on reasserting Congress's role over war powers and ending this reckless
warmongering.

It failed 48-51.

Murkowski and Paul voted yes.

Fetterman voted no.

"active resistance" and "assaultive resistance"

Ellis says the govt has asked the court to stay the restraining order pending appeal.

Denied. The judge finds the govt "did not explain why a stay would be warranted," among other issues.

Ellis says the order will direct "agents and officers to follow the training they've already received... and is essentially directing them to follow their own rules, policies, regulations... and the behavior that the constitution demands."

Emily Pangnerk Illuitok (1943–2012) was an Inuk artist.
Her work is included in the collections of the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec and the Winnipeg Art Gallery.
Here, another lovely bird feature, Oiseaux couvant, 2002.

A lovely sculpture piece that recreates a lively natural oceanic scene. Over a rocky cliff, birds are resting, two of them are flying, and on the lower bits, there are seals also hanging in there, looking to the horizon. They are made with ivory and whale bone. They are very little, but look very realistic in their movements and attitudes.

It's been over 9 months since the Palisades and Eaton Fires tore through Los Angeles. We asked for federal support, but we haven’t heard a word from the White House.

Not a single offer.

Is this what leadership looks like? Abandoning the American people when they call for help?

Just a heads up the only accurate way to describe the president order troops from another state to invade and wage terror in another sovereign state is a civil war.

Anything else is shying away from reality.

Far-right parties in Belgium call for "antifa" bans.

The UK's Reform Party is adopting policy positions that are a “copy and paste” of Trump’s.

The American flag is a symbol for Brazil's far-right.

As Trump tears apart the US, experts worry that other countries may dismantle themselves too.
Is America contagious?

It's so important to nip the framing of this reporting in the bud right now.

Don't accept the narrative that Trump and his team only just started discussing invoking the Insurrection Act. January 6 happened because his White House was in conversation with radicals about what it'd take to invoke it.
Trump administration officials seriously discussing invoking Insurrection Act, sources say
A decision isn't expected to be imminent, one source said, but debate within the administration has shifted recently to more deeply exploring how and when the act might be invoked.
