New, from me: The NYT reporter who specializes in profiles of beleaguered right-wingers on campus went to New College...and found out that things were going ok!

So let me explain some pretty massive errors of omission: 🧵

Harris County is conducting an Active Mobility survey: if you want to walk/bike more in #Houston please take the 5 minutes to respond!
The more input they have from actual stakeholders (that's us), the better.
Show them why more aren't walking or biking now, & to fix it

Fortunate to be able to ride our bikes to the Eagles bar on one of Houston’s bayou trails.

Best way to watch the game with hundreds of your closest friends, haha.

This is exactly the dynamic in Texas.
University administrations are really comfortable overturning internal processes to aid the far right, both because they are terrified of them and also because the far right has captured so many state legislatures that they can, in fact, kill the universities if they don't.

Houston’s leaders are so out-of-touch with how people in cities around the world get around, they painted a soccer ball on a sphere on a bridge that spans a massive highway.

I was impressed at “Downtown Ace Hardware”
At Downtown Ace Hardware the delivery truck was properly parked outside the bike lane. I thanked the driver for not parking in the bike lane and he said “Oh, we would NEVER park in the bike lane.

And that’s how you do it.
