Actually, to add to this, the fact that issues at a small number of facilities can cause such widespread non-functionality emphasizes how fragile the internet is, which is why we shouldn’t take it as a given for our archival, economic, social, and educational systems. Someday it will be gone.
Amazon Web Services controls 30% of market share in cloud infrastructure so that’s why your Canva, Snapchat, Duolingo, and more are all having problems at once. Another reason internet oligopolies are bad for you.
