More effective than the pardons mentioned here are the eviscerations of the OIGs but this makes for a good show
The right wants to talk about fraud? Somali fraud? Okay, give me 60 seconds.

In order to fix this flooding problem, MnDot spent hundreds of millions of dollars building a depressed highway through this intersection

North side streets are flooded, stalling buses and cars and marooning passengers.

As of tomorrow I will have endured 3 miserable weeks without my joy, my heart, my @ofpedacitopan.bsky.social. Though she almost never allows even an hour to pass without texting me, that’s slight compensation for the delight of her presence, which I’ll finally be able to enjoy in a few short days

Did people not lock their bikes in the 70s/80s?!?

This is now a $100m, govt subsidized parking ramp on top of a highway (the view is actually down a block of Holden St that no longer exists)

A vibrant city never stops innovating
I’m curious for more local lore and history about Minneapolis’ most iconic Christmas lights: the Poo Poo Pee Pee house in Northeast. I have only recently incorporated a pilgrimage to this (with running buddies) into my holiday traditions, and it just makes the holiday season complete.

I count 10 cities in 2025 that are on track to have the fewest murders since at least 1970. Newark is on pace to have the fewest murders since 1956 (though only have data through Oct this year) and San Francisco is on pace to have the fewest murders since 1942.

One of our Shakopee observers witnessed ICE pepper spray a baby today in Chanhassen.

(Yes. You read that right.)

The agent knew the baby was there. ICE does not make our communities safer. End Operation Metro Surge NOW!

Speed traps exist but they’re almost always a rural highway that’s unusually-strictly enforced. I highly doubt there is an urban street anywhere in the usa posted at 15mph for the sole purpose of generating fines from violations.

Btw I’ve only ever been to brooklyn ny once

@ontariotrafficman.bsky.social just started watching your videos and loving them! Do they use camera detection for bikes/peds? The small city I live in uses camera detection for bikes on some protected bikeways and they fail to detect A LOT. Would you suspect that’s due to tech or implementation?
