But but but God CHOSE Donald Trump to lead us to a Christian theocracy! Just as our forefathers intended! The foremothers didn’t intend anything. They lived Biblical lives, barefoot and pregnant. Ask any historian.

DHS needs to be burnt to the ground.

We got along fine without it, and it has made our lives worse since it appeared.

It must be ripped out, root and branch; the ground sown with salt.

CBP, and ICE need to be remade, and reshaped.

It can't be mended, it can't be repaired. It is beyond hope.

Gonna be thinking about this lede for a minute.
(RNS) — Last month, the Rev. David Black stood in front of a Chicago-area U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility and spread his arms wide. Adorned in all black and wearing a clerical collar, the pastor looked up at a group of masked, heavily armed ICE agents on the roof and began to pray.

“I invited them to repentance,” Black, a minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA), said in an interview. “I basically offered an altar call. I invited them to come and receive that salvation, and be part of the kingdom that is coming.”

But when Black began to lower his arms a few seconds later, the agents responded to his spiritual plea by firing pepper balls, or chemical agents that cause eye irritation and respiratory distress, video footage shows. One struck Black in the head, exploding into a puff of white pepper smoke and forcing him to his knees. Fellow demonstrators rushed to his aid, and as the pastor rubbed his face in pain, the agents continued to fire.

“We could hear them laughing,” Black said.

Of all the many, many questions Pamela Jo Bondi refused to answer today, the most incendiary was about whether she's seen photos of Donald Trump with unclothed underage girls. It is so damning that she couldn't just say, "No."

Y'all, Trump is waging war against the United States. This is Treason.

I think we are well past the point where future historians look at us and say that civil war could not be averted.

What a mild way to say "this is against the law and has been anathema since the founding of this country."

The U.S. Treasury shared a proposal to mint $1 Trump coins to mark America’s 250th anniversary.

But U.S. code says only deceased individuals may appear on U.S. currency, a tradition dating back to efforts to break from monarchical rule. https://wapo.st/4pWsyL3

ICE = GESTAPO

Community pooled their money to pay for her green card—then ICE locked her up in a private prison instead.

Agents detained her when she showed up for final green card appointment—a process that lasted years & cost $16,009.

Family was waiting at her house planning to celebrate over bowls of Pozole.

When you dehumanize people and lock them up and/or force them into treatment 'for their own good,' you are setting up for catastrophic physical and sexual abuse. We have ample historical and current evidence; when you decide that people are not really people, what happens to them doesn't matter.

I've read this.

There's not a word on how this worked out before. Not. One. Word.

A primary reason the Oregon State Hospital has been in trouble again and again and again is sexual assault and abuse. (I include your own reporting.)

Who will be raped? Who will pay for the lawsuits? Trump?
Oregon State Hospital failed to keep patients safe from assault, federal report finds
A federal investigation found the hospital failed to keep patients safe from assault. Investigators documented a choking attack, injuries and sexual assaults.

The inept Trump administration is too stupid to stop creating evidence that can be used to show the court that the indictment of James Comey was not because he was guilty of any crime, but so the vengeful Donald Trump could humiliate him and make him suffer.

An FBI agent in the Washington field office has been fired for refusing to arrest and perp walk James Comey.

biting my lip to not snark "but did they control for the Benadryl" (yes this is a joke) (for the people who don't get it: the studies linking long-term Benadryl use and dementia risk didn't control for the insomnia/untreated MCAS participants were using it for)

Kash Patel has "summarily dismissed" a trainee for displaying a pride flag.

"Summarily" means without attention to formalities. And there are formalities for firing a federal employee.

So the twit Kash is admitting that the firing was done in a pique of bigotry, not in accordance with the law.
