Absolutely vile.

a video taken by the eyewitness, Emily Heller, shows agents denying a self-identified physician access to the victim and telling bystanders to “just relax.”

“How can I relax? You just killed my fucking neighbor,” Heller responded. “How the fuck do you show up to work every day?”

Here's the ICE agent "defending himself" by shooting into the driver's side window of a car that's pulling *away* from him.

Put this photo on the front page of every newspaper in America.

DHS's first official statement is out, and they call the woman who was shot a domestic terrorist who they claim was trying to kill an ICE agent.

As a reminder, Tricia McLaughlin's post-shooting statements have been proven to be false MULTIPLE times in the past. They are simply not trustworthy.

DHS investigated the shooting for about 5 minutes and concluded the person they killed was in the wrong. Real credible stuff.

I wish they talked about how unsuccessful Miller has been.

"Stephen Miller ordered ICE to snatch 3,000 people a day. He has failed to meet that order, but the order has led to an emphasis on non-criminal long-term residents rather than violent criminals."
I think that Stephen Miller's ascendance in the US govt. is a major development so am really glad to see this coverage from @katierogersnyt.bsky.social

Miller is motivated by the goal of mass deportations & now exerts extraordinary foreign policy authority

Leaked docs state how DHS plans to "cut FEMA’s staff by more than 50%" (11,500+ jobs). This is exactly why we shouldn't take the FEMA "Review Council" Report seriously when it finally comes out. They are and always were a sham, even before it leaked how Noem was editing their actual recommendations.

It pains me when I see women journalists share their work prefaced by “I wrote a thing.”

I used to do that. I don’t do it anymore.

Don’t minimize or trivialize your own work.

There are enough men willing to do that for you.

IN MEMORIAM: Carmen de Lavallade, Iconic Dancer and Choreographer, Dies at 94
NEW YORK CARIB NEWS — De Lavallade’s career spanned more than seven decades and crossed the worlds of modern dance, ballet, theater, film, and television. She began her professional journey in Los Angeles with the racially integrated Lester Horton Dance Theater, where she developed a powerful and expressive style that would later captivate audiences around the world. It was during this period that she formed a close artistic bond with fellow dancer Alvin Ailey, who would become one of her most important collaborators.
