I can’t quite put it into words yet, but something is happening, a kind of global singularity—a fusion of tech/media/news/government/employment which allows the global elite to push single agendas: “You WILL care about Charlie Kirk. You will NOT care about Palestine. You WILL fear cancel culture.”
Think we are up to 8 bbc news alerts about charlie kirk.

They’ve bought out Streamo. They just acquired Flunki. Pibmow got acquired. Neepee was subsumed in a merger. They gobbled up Skunt. You can totally Philo your Skunt library now. I’m literally consuming Skunt with Philo as we speak.

AI is a wholly parasitic technology. It has hoovered up centuries of human cultural production and can reconfigure it in a split section to produce the simulacrum of original human thought, but it can never replace that. IMO, we'll miss the products of genuine human thought when it's gone.

Sort of like the shopping trolley morality test. If there's no consequences, nobody's going to find out, you're not going to be punished (you're actually rewarded) and neither you or the crab are actually real, do you still kill the crab?

ok I feel completely insane asking this but like

weren't we NOT blowing up rockets, like, 50 years ago. weren't we successfully sending rockets up that did not rattle apart. also weren't we like "ah yeah that was a fail" when the rocket fell apart instead of calling it a "partial success"

Gowron is legit a hall of fame Star Trek performance. The way the head klingon comes to picard and is like someone's poisoning me n it's either Duras who dishonored Worf's house & killed worf's baby mama or Gowron so you're like yh it's Duras but then you see Gowron looks like this in EVERY SCENE

this is a good joke but this also speaks to a truth about 2025 America: the growing, horrible sense among many people that running scams is the only path to basic financial stability

this is, of course, utter poison for human society
Feels like I'm leaving money on the table by not doing a scam or swindle of some kind. Would you guys buy a car for $100,000 if I pretended it can drive itself. What about a fake currency

A thing I wish I could teach people is that the vast majority of very rich people are deeply stupid. They did not get where they are because of ingenuity or talent. They got there because of compound interest on hereditary wealth and being tax cheats.
