There's no rhyme or reason to which Dems do this on any given nominee, and they never explain, because it really is as stupid as they do it to game metrics so they can't be tagged "most liberal." It's not because Republicans care, they don't need them. It's not a tactical maneuver. It's just dumb.
Amy Klobuchar voted for one of Trump's nominees the day after a woman in her state was murdered by ICE.
Alexander Van Hook is confirmed 53-40 to be a District Judge of Western Louisiana. According to @senatepress.bsky.social, the Dems yeas are Dick Durbin (IL), Maggie Hassan (NH), Tim Kaine (VA), Amy Klobuchar (MN), Jeanne Shaheen (NH), and Peter Welch (VT). Angus King (I-ME) was also a yea.

It’s such a weird campaign to think that aligning the “r-word” with its pejorative meaning is progressive. Like saying “don’t call them the r-word cause it’s ableist,” just further associates the word with disabled people. I’ve never used that word in a comparative context. I’m lost. I lose.

We need different Democrats. We want action, even if it's performative. We need it en masse. The party should be rallying the troops. Instead, they vote for Republican candidates and rollover when things get tough.

The Epstein files released today did not come from the DOJ's Epstein Files. They came from Epstein's estate. Pam Bondi is still protecting Trump at all costs. Today's release by Democrats was aimed at undermining her efforts. And to make it harder for Donald to pardon Ghislaine Maxwell.
