When the press won’t ask the hard questions, hold power accountable for evil, challenge lies, or call out corruption, the press become lapdogs for dictatorship rather than watchdogs of democracy.

Five years gone. You will always be loved, deeply missed, and never be forgotten, sweet, sweet boy.

Social services like Medicare and Medicaid aren’t about “getting your money’s worth”.

They’re about living in a society. Recognizing that some people require more support than others, and that providing that support benefits everyone.

On the last trading day of President Biden’s term, January 17, 2025, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 43487.83. Today, it closed at 38314.83. Using Trump’s mythical “calculation” of “tariffs” he thinks are “imposed” by foreign nations, he has now imposed an 11.9% tariff on your retirement.

Ronald Reagan was a strong conservative. There is zero chance that he would have defended Putin or opposed Ukraine’s desire to defend itself from Russian aggression. Russia is still the evil empire. Trump’s Quisling-esque treachery will turn the United States into North America’s Belarus.

2025: the year of finding out.
