Budtender, journalist, bore.
The list I would create if you paid me to write down everything I hate about America would be nowhere near as detailed nor get down to the minutia as the average Republican's.
Exclusive: Republicans plan to challenge vehicle-safety mandates, such as automatic emergency braking and alarms that remind drivers a child is in the back seat.
Senate Committee to Challenge Auto-Safety Mandates That Hurt ‘Affordability’
Republicans are questioning the value of some features, such as automatic braking and rear-seat reminders.

Helen Gahagan Douglas in SHE (1935), a performance that inspired the villainess in SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS (1937)

HGD was BOTD in 1900. A passionate advocate for migrant workers, she ran against Richard Nixon for senator in 1950 but lost after he accused her of being a communist.

Are they doing this for those of us who don't have asshole uncles to sit next to on Thanksgiving?
Fox is now claiming that Rep. Slotkin is a CIA asset in a “destabilization op,” controlled by “deep state handlers,” because she reminded service members to follow the law. They even suggest she’s unwitting of her own “mission,”

ATTENTION REPORTERS:

The entire justification for cozying up to power is for the access doing so grants the reporter.

Most of you have already been replaced by white supremacists and trad-adjascent influencers.

If you're not getting the access, at least get loud.
Why are reporters sitting there and taking this? Grow a fucking spine
Q: What did the president mean when he called a reporter "piggy"?

LEAVITT: Look, the president is very frank & honest with everyone in this room. You'll all seen it yourself. You've all experienced it yourselves. And I think it's one of the many reasons the American people reelected this president

The antisemitism is the thing, obviously, but do take half a second to note "Democrat Party"
In an unhinged dissent in our Texas redistricting victory, a GOP appointed judge seems to believe that George Soros and I did...well, I'm not sure what...but he is very mad. Bigly.
November 20, 2025 at 12:24 AM
Okay but his policies are the one thing worse than his personality
GOP Rep. Salazar won't criticize Trump calling a woman reporter "piggy" -- "President Trump is a very different type of politician. But I always say I look at his policies and not his personality. Nobody is perfect."

I seriously wonder if the thinning among the alt-MAGA movement is that Trump/Vance will be so toxic by 2028 that a conservative candidate will need a swatting incident in their history as a badge of honor to be considered
Massie: "We fought the president, the AG, the FBI director, the Speaker of the House, and the VP to get this win."

There are vanishingly few good reasons why the details of your sex life would ever be in in the pages of the fuckin' New York Times
this tawdry Olivia Nuzzi stuff highlights why I’m turning into a small-c conservative with regards to “it is unseemly and shameful for people in positions of power and influence to subject the public to their messy-ass sex nonsense on a constant basis”

Why reinforce the "okay with everything but the worst of the worst sexual assault" wing of the democratic party instead of building an anti-pedophilia branch of MAGA?
Raskin: We are a big tent. We must be a huge, vast tent. I say this is a party that’s got room for Marjorie Taylor Greene if she wants to come over.

How are conservatives not yet bored with this show?

The script hasn't changed. The same catchphrases are being deployed. The beats and flourishes are from the same worn out template.

Targeting MTG is the Brady Bunch adding Cousin Oliver. It's a shake up that doesn't change anything

The evangelical number is so staggering I struggle to believe it's accurate. Evangelicalism had a death hold on 41 ~ 43 percent of Americans from the early 1990s (at least) through 2018!

To have shed nearly half their adherents in under a decade is... yeah, I'm still unable to really believe it
More US adults identify with no religion (29%) than with the Catholic Church (19%) or evangelical Protestant denominations (23%).

It's one thing for the establishment to throw its support behind a fratty labrador retreiver who was horny for war in the Middle East.

It could very well be a different thing when a brutish pedophile wants to cum destruction on a country most Americans don't think about more than twice a year.
"Senior military officials on Wednesday presented President Trump with updated options for potential operations in Venezuela, including strikes on land, according to multiple sources familiar with the meetings at the White House. "

I want to very gently say something, and I hope nobody will be mad: If somebody on the internet says something that is NOT about politics and NOT about how terrible everything is, it’s a kindness not to reflexively make a comment (in jest or not) that brings it back to those things.

I am disappointed by this turn of events only in a much as I truly wanted MTG to lock up the non-Trumpian wing of MAGA by literally kicking Boebert's ass on C-SPAN.

She hates her and is unstable enough that it really might have happened.

Oh well.
Trump pressure campaign on Boebert backfired:

The government is once again in the business of picking winners and losers.
Bessent: "The other thing you're gonna see are these Trump accounts. Every child born for the next three years is going to get a $1,000 account that's going to be invested in the US stock market."

This is the wording you would use if you wanted to placate someone who might not know where they are from moment to moment
every single week they're throwing this guy a special oval office love-in that appears to be the presidential equivalent of letting your dog scarf an entire big mac and fries before that last trip to the vet
Pirro: "Mr President, there is in this room a group of people who love you, who believe in you, and who are so proud to be in this Oval Office and to be part of this amazing day because you have changed the course of America."
