They always close ranks. Cops do not protect you.
Thank you for telling us you neither serve nor protect. Thank you for saying the quiet part out loud. That was state murder in broad daylight, captured from multiple angles by multiple witnesses, and the people of Minneapolis have eyes.

You support murder.

i don't even know how the lie spread so far and fast that you can be black, just show up in the world, and people will give you tuition or a job. these crazy black parents of ours told us no one would hand us a damn thing. ever. i got an hour long "twice as good lecture" over a math test. like?

The killer part is how much gaslighting Black people get around this in these spaces and among the people obsessively covering them.
Exclusive: Texts messages offer an unfiltered account of University of Virginia board members speaking about ending “chemical and surgical mutilation” for transgender youth at its hospitals and undoing “regimes of racial classification” in its classrooms.

Private messages between University of Virginia board members and other officials show how they deliberated on key issues and Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s involvement in university operations.

Something a lot of people refuse to internalize in this country is that cops (at all levels) are almost always rightwing in ideology.

Making a collect call from a payphone and leaving a whole message with your location in the part where you were supposed to say your name.
Without revealing your actual age, what's something you remember that if you told a younger person they wouldn't understand?

Everything happening now has a precedent. This is not new. Please understand that everything happening now is very American. The only change is that it is happening on camera to middle income white people. Ask BIPOC and low income white people about abuses by the state.

The work of Black liberation movements is unnecessary, and divisive and lacks practical application, UNTIL it produces language and concepts that can be positively applied to non-Black people.

Which of those BW can you name?

Today was my grandmother's last earthside birthday and I was on the phone with her as the news broke. Still surreal but glad we talked one another through it. After the lockdowns she really deserved a better birthday. SMH I am still mad for her and wishing her a happy heavenly birthday 💫
