- TSP worked 2/3 times to give trains an advance green before left turns or shortened a left turn phase immediately to give a transit phase at jane and finch

-slow line speeds in between stops still a problem

this feels noticeably better. more improvements coming early next year!

-in both directions, my train never hit a red light except at jane st

-green transit phase insertion/rotation being tested

Is anyone running against Holyday in 2026? I’d donate to a campaign against him
Councillor Stephen Holyday has a motion to eliminate a $50,000-a-year program to give bottled water to homeless people.

What’s the state of VPPs in Ontario? I know there are demand response programs but haven’t heard of anything that includes installing storage or like v2g for residential. I suppose home solar/battery and EV adoption rates are not high though….

Single stair code changes coming to @cityofvancouver.bsky.social council today.

It’s been several years of work getting to this point.

It’s not everything that I’d want but it’s a good first step, with external single stairs and low/mid rise scissor stairs as entirely new housing options.

The Eglinton Crosstown LRT has officially reached substantial completion. And according to Premier Ford the line could be open in just a few weeks for the start of 2026. Service will run roughly every 5 minutes from 6am-11pm on opening day. With more service planned in the future

I think presto should make a Wrapped. E.g. top stations, top agencies, number of trips by month and in total, number or percentage of transfers, maybe like how much you saved thru transfers or month/week/day passes?

Idk why Alberta wants to set its own money on fire building pipelines that export oil to countries who are in the process of rapidly electrifying their cars and power generation. Oil is going to go the way of coal and is inevitably going to decline

Canada actually speeding up the construction of high speed rail?? Do my eyes deceive me??

“This will enable construction on Alto to begin in four years — as early as 2029 — instead of the original timeline of in eight years, towards the middle of the 2030s.”

Happy first regular weekend GO Train on the Kitchener line! Considering most folks had to get up before 7 to get ready to be here, and that it's the first day, I'm blown away at the turnout. Platform was crowded; my guess is 150-200 people.

Update on my single exit stair ASP: we have an approval!

Thanks to sixplex and single stair supporters Mayor Olivia Chow, Cllr Jamaal Myers, @joshmatlow.bsky.social and others who get why single exit stairs are key to creating livable, accessible, small scale housing. 1/6
After TO Council passed a motion indicating the City was open to Alternative Solution Proposals for a single stair in apts up to 4 storeys, I applied for a single stair in a 3 storey Part 9 6plex.

I’m told it’s the first one, so it’s a test case. Here’s how it’s going.
