The combined populations of Mpls and St. Paul is about 740,000 (thats not even counting the metro area). If just 0.8% of us show up that’s easily more than double the goons ICE has sent.

Congress can stop ICE. Congress can block the use of force in Greenland. In other words, in this crisis, Congress can act to support civil liberties at home and free nations abroad. To fail to act would be to be complicit in a dreadful outcome.

Invading Greenland would arguably be the dumbest US foreign policy decision in it’s 250 year history. Just considering it is causing significant harm to NATO—the alliance at the heart of US security and strength. the US is causing grievous harm to itself for no gain. Congress must act immediately.

When I lecture to students about how the apparently thriving economy of the 1920s was really a house of cards just waiting to be knocked down, one of the points I stress is how much a small number of the very rich were essentially propping up consumer spending in unsustainable ways

The actual story is that a family of American citizens trying to evacuate from a neighborhood that ICE had made unsafe, and then ICE tossed munitions into the car, causing three kids to be hospitalized and a six month old to stop breathing. DHS called the family “radical agitators”
