Public works is massive! The quintessential government function is streets! The idea that the city council wouldn't get a confirmation vote for public works director is nuts. These charter commissioners have lost their minds.

I don’t know what other cities look like, but I think that the commissioner of health role is one I want the Council to vote on. Probably others as well, but there are real implications to the way that position approaches public health that directly affects residents.

An excerpt from an article in the American Prospect stating: Commissioner Audrey Partridge, who prepared her remarks ahead of time, is the next to speak.
"I assumed the absolute worst in these investors, and I tested whether our regulations and the enforceable commitments of these agreements would hold up to protect the utility, its workers, its customers and the communities Minnesota Power serves," Partridge says. "And in each scenario, I could not find a way for these investors to both make a profit and cause harm."

Just delivered a sign for someone who requested it because their landlord put up a Strahan sign. This shows the choice we have this election.

Elect someone who fights for renters who actually live here, or elect someone that voted in Ward 3 in January 2025 that’s having landlords put up his signs.

I will also add that his wife wrote an op-ed in the Northeaster where she said something to the effect of “not voting blindly for a candidate” which I certainly took as a dig to the effort Dan Engelhart put into getting the DFL endorsement.

Dan Miller wants to be viewed as an “apolitical” candidate but his bedfellows are conservative DFLers and he hosts a Frey yard sign. I’m not convinced that he wouldn’t be an ally to conservative MPRB members.

In 2022, researchers at Lansweeper estimated that nearly 43 percent of active PCs employing Windows 10 are not equipped to upgrade to the latest operating system due to its advanced system requirements. Microsoft mandates that Windows 11 can only be installed on a PC that has 64 GB of storage, a compatible 64-bit processor, and a high-definition (720p) display. Last year, the Minneapolis City Council added 5 new civilian investigator positions that help investigate crimes and bring justice to those impacted.

The Mayor has proposed cutting two of these positions at a time when residents tell us cases aren’t being properly investigated. 1/

Mpls City Council's Public Health & Safety Committee received a presentation Wednesday from local public safety experts urging the creation a unit of investigators specifically for non-fatal shootings. Disparity between MPD's murder vs non-fatal shooting solve rate is 65 vs 23%.

The Problem
In 2024, only 47% of violent crimes reported to
police in Minnesota were solved.
In 2024, the Minneapolis Police Department solved 65%
of homicides and 23% of nonfatal shootings.

St. Paul was inspired by the "Denver Model" and created its own "Saint Paul Model" and brought their clearance rate from 37% in 2023 to 70.5% in 2024.

In 2025, St. Paul is now trending to have a 30% reduction in shots fired and a 70% reduction in homicides.

In the AppleTV show Platonic, Seth Rogen’s character is subject to a noncompete agreement which causes problems for the character’s goals. The issue? He works in California where noncompetes have long been unenforceable! It’s not an issue!!
