Just passing through the Pennines (namely Royston Vasey) as I head back to Manchester. The shops offer some rather questionable Christmas card options.

For all the newcomers here: please post regularly. I'm tired of dudes migrating here, posting once every other month, and then going back to Twitter complaining that Bluesky is dead.

Please repost your friends' stuff too.

General PSA. Whoever remains there will probably not be phased by this but 🤷
Heads up to artists still using Twitter- Twitter is now adding an "Edit image" button under all images posted on the site that allows everyone to feed it into genAI and modify it as they wish with a prompt

it’s kinda depressing how every trans person knows that the TA was specifically targeted for being trans and most cis people will never hear about it because most news at most mention that she is trans in passing
I heard about this story before but this is the first time I've heard any mention of the TA being transgender. It sucks that it went this far when it was determined early that she was simply a scrappy writer who didn't follow instructions, the TA was probably just sick of her.

Labour hate working people
An English local council innovates, evaluates what it did, finds it works (replicating an earlier study in Scotland) … and all councils are told by the Labour government not to try it. What message does this convey? Another victory for ideology & cowardice

Councils warned against adopting four-day week

Reminder that blue states carry red states on their backs and have for decades.
Sean Duffy on blue states: "What I can do is I can pull their money. That's the leverage I do have ... I guarantee you that the federal taxpayer is not going to fund their roads and bridges and their systems when they are putting illegals on the roads."
