As a way of introducing myself, here's my article The Page as Place. It's about the concept of place in art psychotherapy and how we explore and express inner worlds through imagined places. It's an art-based heuristic enquiry. doi.org/10.1080/1745...
The page as place: how we enter into images as place
Entering into an image is a familiar yet undefined term. In this art-based, heuristic enquiry into how we enter into images as place, the author considers what meaning the concept of place has in a...

I was going to announce my private practice opening when I had my website and a little elevator pitch ready, but this imperfect sketch is good enough. I also have availability for online sessions. Here's my profile: baat.org/find-an-art-...

Can we just address the fact that the UK should not, under any circumstances, be detaining and forcibly removing victims of trafficking or torture to another country. This government is going to end up being the cause of death for already traumatized individuals.

www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...
It is thought that some of those due to fly had lodged unsuccessful legal challenges against removal, but did not fly due to concerns raised from French authorities that the Home Office had not provided adequate notice of the vulnerabilities of some individuals, such as victims of trafficking and torture.

How the media frame the far-right protests in London will be essential in how seriously the public think about what’s going on. If it isn’t framed as what it is — a hate filled, racist gathering — then it will continue radical normalisation. I hope they recognise the magnitude of their coverage.

Write to your MPs, MSs or representatives to challenge the chipping away at rights to peaceful protest. Join @libertyhq.bsky.social . Rubbing your hands together from another continent while people have had to resort to and face violence is a strange and offensive response.

I lived in KTM briefly and I have friends there. The city deserves peace. It's sad it's come to this, how much better if voices had been heard sooner, if young people had felt respected and had faith in a principled government.

Your excitement at the deaths of far away protesters is cruel

I'm finding the remote glee around what's happening in Nepal difficult.

Yes, rising up to power, especially power maintained by wealth and corruption , is a good and much needed thing. But people have been killed and injured and unrest is unrest. The tone of many posts is insensitive.

And, I feel this is kind of important to mention, when this government seems more concerned about condemning people protesting a genocide than the people carrying out the genocide I would, personally, say, we have a somewhat bigger issue than people holding up placards in the street.

Sorry, but wtaf? This does absolutely nothing but ensure that even more people, including children, have to use irregular crossings, and blocks people who even this government have recognised are refugees from being with their families. This is utterly sickening from Labour. 1/

Im actually so taken by these images in how horrifying they are in their banality. showing off a human being being crushed and dehumanised by a bureaucracy. The uniform clothing, the obscured faces, the scanning and the paperwork. Just such cold callous racism on display here from the pm

If this is not deliberately racialised imagery, it is at best fantastically naive to not understand that it looks & feels like racialised dog whistling to single out this man in such a way.
