SpaceX (which “bought” X and XAI yesterday) owns & operates the most prolific child-porn deepfake production & distribution platform in the world, very reasonable for countries to worry about that.

One* of the head scratchers here is Meta makes >13 times the revenue of SpaceX and yet it worth just 40% more? I’ll astounded if this thing IPOs anywhere near that anytime soon.

*there are a lot of confusing things in this whole … thing.

So the rocket company now owns Twitter too? I guess one way to get your social network nightmare to meet its debt payments is wrap into a vastly larger fantasy.

Merging xAI with SpaceX is not good for US capability in space. Argument is SpaceX will launch 1TW of electricity producing solar + data centers (modulo unsolved thermal physics) per year, on a so far 11 flight rocket that has not gotten to orbit. US needs Falcon 9 to be stable workhorse. Danger.

Ok, so this deal only makes sense in one way. Tesla is “about” AI and autonomy. xAI should have merged with Tesla (also stupid, but whatevs). Unless, you are desperate for xAI to get an exit without to much fuss, then it makes sense. Kind of. It’s all dumb.
So X was acquired by xAI in March of last year. And now xAI is being acquired by SpaceX? Interesting.
A memo just went out to employees at two of Musk's companies: SpaceX has acquired xAI.
