So, first of all, of course it was Trump.

But even if they were telling the truth, "We give staffers who post videos of the Obamas as apes access to the agenda-setting, decree-sending, market-moving account of the president of the United States" is not the exculpatory statement they think it is.

The New York Times has finally covered the Trump video of Obama as an ape — and they are still providing cover for him. Fuck the Times.

An internet search looking for articles of large media outlets who have reported on the president posting a video depicting the Obamas as primates should leave you disgusted with large media outlets. There are a few who did stories, but not many. I guess nothing matters anymore.

Every day
Trump: [says something absolutely horrible]
Media: Why did the president say that
WH: Obviously the president didn't say that
Trump: Yes I did
WH: Ah well nevertheless

Was driving my kids to school and the first thing on the radio was reporting about Trump's video depicting the Obamas as apes and I think many people still don't fully appreciate what it means to have to raise Black children in a country where the president is so brazenly and consistently racist

Reporter: The WH says a staffer sent that video. Are you going to fire the staffer?

Trump: No. I looked at it. I didn’t see the whole thing. I gave it to the people, they posted it.

Reporter: Are you going to apologize?

Trump: No, I didn’t make a mistake. It was a take off The Lion King.

Trump says he was the one who decided to post the video with racist imagery of the Obamas, not an anonymous aide, but says he didn't watch to the end before sending it to "the people" to post for him. But he has no regrets. "No, I didn’t make a mistake." www.nytimes.com/2026/02/06/u...
