For the first time in a very long time, we made it through a church party. Technically we made it through the marathon since we got there 1.5 hours early to practice a musical number. My 5yo was wearing one wheelie shoe and really enjoyed pushing herself through the gym

Reaching my wits end that directly describing my emotional needs to mom like you would teach a 5yo how to do is getting nowhere...
Because somehow being aware of your emotions and being able to explain the cause/effect is somehow "new age lingo".

I am torn cause on the one hand: cool idea.
On the other: this is certain to end in tears and thrown magnatiles.

I’m the same this year but I did have my 5yo grandson here on the farm all last week. I was exhausted but we had a great time and he loved being with the animals and he asked for a pet chook which I got him. He’ll be back early January for another week.
