There is a difference in perspectives:
An American anti-Republican considers him a warmonger.
An African or Asian Islamist sees him as a partner of Zionism.
An Iranian protester regards him as a hero and a bringer of freedom.
… Trump possesses the qualities of a great and global figure.

I just watched an Asian-American finance personality share nuanced investing tips for Muslim people in recognition of Ramadan. I'm really loving the intersectionality and thoughtfulness! This is why I stay on social media- it does still expand my horizons!

I'm having a lot of complicated feelings about some of the recent rhetoric about how Surya Bonaly would have won more competitions if she was white during this time period, because it ignores that a lot of the women she lost to were Asian or Asian-American.

The Phoenix Crown by Kate Quinn and Janie Chang is an amazing adventure! I just finished reading it. Like my Matsura novel, it takes place on a Western coastal city in the early 1900s and features an Asian-American protagonist navigating an overtly racist mileu. I highly recommend it.

It's in the department of Asian and Asian American Studies, which is good vibes and a healthy community. The 2-year fellowship followed by conversion to tenure-track is just increasingly how they do it -- saves money. It's pretty stupid. But most of the time, the conversion does at least happen.

Not Trump, but in a profile of the 1st Asian-American leader of a major U.S. university, UC Berkeley’s Chang-Lin Tien, NYT wouldn’t let go of his Taiwanese accent. This, of a popular engineering prof who had won a campus-wide teaching award. & that’s when I learned that NYTimes = pretty racist.

INSANE thing for an asian american woman to say, given that her family in living memory was in internment camps during world war two and she's lost most of her reproductive rights under a democtrat run goverment
Is right now a good time for the democrats in Congress to be very public about fighting for trans rights? And I’m not sure what slur you’re accusing me of using, but if I’ve said something wrong please do let me know.

Nobel Johnson was a character actor and bit player during the silent era. He played a wide variety of characters and races due to his light complexion, Native American, Arab, and Asian parts. He founded Lincoln Motion Picture Company in 1916 in Omaha, Nebraska,The Realization of a Negro's Ambition.

It was to a degree, redlining was an extension of capitalism's oppression into racial sphere, not to mention it was itself based in financial institutions (the entire structure of it revolved around banks denying loans to Asian, African-American, Latino families to keep them financially in the dirt)

But we do, American companies walk in assuming we can't and change the recipes. I was so disappointed by Popeye's when it came here it's bland. I've had it in the US and Korea. Not sure why that keeps happening.
We have a lot of very spicy Asian food everywhere

It reminds me of the irritating strain of irish-american nationalism that ignores the sentiments of actual living irish people except most of these people aren’t even asian! They’re just birch society members who’re annoying and smug about east asian geopolitics without knowing anything about it!
