I have a “GWOT Troop Cult Civ-Mil Crisis Theory of Everything” that is applicable here. It would require being brave to stand up to an aspiring Hitler. Brave is something troops do. Therefore, they get two dollar Appletinis on Veterans’ Day and nobody else has any obligation to have courage.
