The other weird thing with JJOS is the 1/2/XL versions weren't totally linear upgrades. Like JJOS1 had an awesome acidy filter (as featured on Autechre's 90101-5l-l) but it was just gone in JJOS2.
Also I could never get useful results from the "pattern" feature

Tommy Tallarico actually has a hand in changing Autechre's creative direction by suggesting them to make something based on his sound design. That's how we got Confield in 2001, the same year as Metroid Prime.

Sure, the streaming companies have their loudness guidelines, but if you're putting your music on bandcamp or some direct-download thing, you can make it as loud as you want. Here's Autechre's Exai. LUFS range from -9 to -14.4, but most tracks are around -11.

The sticker on some (?) versions of Autechre's Tri Repetae has "incomplete without surface noise" on the CD, but "complete (...)" on the vinyl sleeve.
Just type that in every CD listing.

I missed out on a QV+ a week ago, and that remains the holy grail for me. If only because it’s responsible for the ring mod+delay sound at the start of Autechre’s ‘Glitch’

I think I liked Mark Broom's set at the Austin show more than Autechre's, lots of deep old school experimental UK Dubstep vibes.

I seem to be getting more not less anxious about going to the dentist as I age, but at least this time their x-ray machine kept playing the first three notes in the melody from Goz Quarter off Autechre's Envane. Silver linings.
