Doing a top up on my car because no public fast charging for me away from the coasts. Chargenet have a station in Kurow. Meridian made a song & dance about extra chargers in Twizel. Useless despite being the second largest company on NZ Stick Exchange. One AC charger there would give me hope. #EV

Nobody...yet every public charger has 1 CCS and one Chademo tether on. I'm considering getting a Chademo->CCS converter..because it is always the CCS that is broken.

CHAdeMO tried a couple of years ago, with apparently zero success. But maybe the time is ripe now, piggy backing on the wide availability of USB PD power ICs?

Prinzipiell muss ich nach über 5 Jahren Elektroauto noch nie ein Problem hatte irgendwie keine Ladesäule zu finden. Und ich habe es sogar schwerer als 90% der BEV-Fahrer weil ich mit Chademo lade.

De totes maneres, com deia, és un model equivocat avui dia. El que calen són electrolineres amb molts punts i de velocitats molt més ràpides.

Dos carregadors de 50 kW (amb Chademo, a més) i a una botiga, té poc sentit. Per botiga hauria de ser càrrega lenta, i moltíssims més.

Try using an EV charger. Sign up and wait for them to send an RFID id card through the post. Or download the app and sign up for an annual subscription. Or swipe your card, get charged a huge rate, then call the telephone helpline when it won't work. Need a CHAdeMO connection? Tough.

The EVGo chargers here in CA (at least the dozen or do I've used) all have 3 cables each: CCS, NACS and CHAdeMO (whatever that is).

40 additional CCS/CHAdeMo connectors have gone live in Ireland in the last month, but @thommcg.bsky.social has done the sums and it’s predicted that we will hit 30+% *NEW* CCS connectors by the end of this year! Phenomenal growth and a clear indication that #EVsky is the way forward!
c.40 CCS / Chademo now live since mid-September, located in:

What about car charging. Some of us have cars with Chademo chargers. We are finding it increasingly difficult to find these as chargers are being changed to CCS. I think this is a European directive.

Der Erwerb eines gebrauchten E-Autos ist leider etwas kompliziert, da jeder Hersteller bis vor kurzem seine eigene Ladephilosophie hatte. ZB: Zoe: CCS Selten dafür 22kW an Standardsäulen. Dacia nur 3,7kW als Basis. Leaf: CHadeMo und 6,6kW. Da muss man schon schauen ob es wirklich passt.

I dragged my feet until the dealership came down to $24K on my 2025 SV+. MD should give me another $3K back. Because of CHAdeMO, it isn’t a good road tripper. But as a second car charging in the garage for local trips, I get 4m/kWh. With a 60kW battery, that delivers well over 215 fun miles.
