It’s interesting that it’s in France. If this was the US, I would expect huge residual confounding because of the stark political impacts on vax uptake, and how those affiliations are linked to a host of other risks.

Also some of this is more directly related to vax, like CVD deaths months later

One of the contributing factors in dialysis related CVD is calcification of the vascular where loss of fistula for dialysis occurs because of it... majority of dialysis patients deal with this issue..

Insights from the OECD report: The State of Cardiovascular Health in the European Union

➡️ Approximately three-quarters of CVD-related disability is attributable to modifiable risk factors, with metabolic risks representing the largest share
Obesity at the Centre of Cardiovascular Disease Prevention and Care - EASO
Key Message Cardiovascular disease (CVD) remains the leading cause of death and disability in the European Union. The OECD analysis shows that most of the CVD burden is driven by modifiable risk…

The pandemic abruptly halted long-term declining mortality trends for major chronic diseases.
- Diabetes: MCOD data showed a 27% increase in diabetes-related deaths in 2020, vs to just 19% when only looking at the primary cause.

Also, whatever happened to that poor x axis in the CVD cohort? This is what it looks like after uncompressing it.

Chances are that whatever happened between February 2023 and August 2023 isn't related to SARS-CoV-2 (ongoing healthcare reform? change in coding or hospital admission criteria? etc)

Der Titel klingt dramatisch: „Persistent attenuation of lymphocyte subsets after mass SARS-CoV-2 infection“.
Viele lesen das als „COVID schädigt dauerhaft das Immunsystem! Leonardi hatte Recht!“
Das Problem: So etwas kann die Studie gar nicht zeigen.
Ein genauer Blick lohnt.🧵1/9

Non-cancer-related factors were the main drivers of late cardiovascular disease (CVD) events in older, long-term cancer survivors, findings from a large cohort study suggested.

Thank you for sharing this Prof. Glantz. Does it never trouble you that you might be wrong?

I think reducing lung cancer and COPD would be super-good! That's 50% of all 490,000 annual tobacco-related deaths, right?

FYI: CVD isn't changing much, possibly due to our ever-increasing obesity...
