Is this represented in the models?

“Wind picks up phosphorus-laden dust from Greenland’s rocky ground and blows it onto the ice, where it feeds algae blooms…These dark patches of algae block the ice’s ability to reflect the sun’s heat, speeding up melting.”

ICE's record of abuse is staggering, with countless families torn apart. This cruelty reflects deep-rooted issues in our immigration and law enforcement systems. They're murderers hiding behind badges

Lawyers say ICE's practices of quickly moving detained children out of state makes it impossible to know who's taken and to get them access to legal counsel. www.mprnews.org/story/2026/0...

ICE is pulling Minnesota immigrant families with legal status out of their driveways, homes and school commutes and sending them to Texas within hours — in at least two cases against a judge’s order. ...

America’s contract to protect white women has always been tenuous

HOW IS THIS BEING TOLERATED?!
Stop and think about this. At least the Nazis kept better track of the people they held, could find them. Could it be that ICE's sloppy record-keeping is intentional, to prevent history

"Following the killing of Renee Good in Minnesota, Bundy told his audience that ICE’s conduct “clearly looks like tyranny.” If the government threatened his family, he said, he would fight back by whatever means necessary."

ICYMI: The US is currently holding three times as many people in immigrant detention as were detained in the Nazi concentration camp system in spring 1939 — six years into the Third Reich, and just before the start of World War II.

Republican politicians keep funneling money into ICE's violent operations through detention contracts and DHS budgets. We gotta face how deep their support runs.

if cities were children in a school, these are roving bands of displaced, disproportionate and dispossessed bullies attempting to assert their insecurity and sow strife

the masses are being shaken out of routine and complacency, against those in charge of ICE's expectations I imagine

American freedom cannot be defended by masked state forces killing in the streets. ICE’s use of excessive force is not security, it is state brutality. History has seen this before: before the Civil War, freedom was claimed while justice was denied. The same decay is returning.

During the Trump administration!

He says “abolish Trump’s ICE” now that he wants YOUR vote, but when it was time for him to cast HIS vote, he was ALL IN on using City resources to empower ICE’s reach in your community.

Also: Platner wants to abolish ICE and thinks ICE's future is worth risking a partial govt shutdown over. Mills would keep ICE and reform it -- and seems to suggest the fight is not worth the risk of a shutdown. (Even Angus has drawn a line in the sand re: funding ICE without reforms.) #MEpolitics

As a whole, local police have not stepped up to protect citizens from ICE's illegal detentions and assaults. They only get upset when one of their own is questioned or hassled. It's not surprising but still disappointing.
I’m *extremely concerned* about the way folks are reforming their image of the cops in light of everything that’s happening, even though we only have a handful examples of them disagreeing with ICE, while still being responsible themselves for the murders of Black and brown people across the country
