I reached into our Amiga games cubby for #RandomGameSaturday and came away with Probe's Supremacy: Your Will Be Done!

I reached into our Amiga games cubby for #RandomGameSaturday and came away with Probe's Supremacy: Your Will Be Done!

Microbyte in Manchester was my go-to shop for full priced C64 games in the city centre. They stocked the full Last Ninja 2 package with shuriken and mask, so gladly purchased that there. And they seemed to be the only place to get C64 disks too.

No era más barato ni intuitivo que el PaintBox o el Art Studio, pero para ser una utilidad para la Spectrum, se convirtió en un canvas para muchos.
En España se llamó Supergráficos, vendido por Microbyte. Tal vez alguien lo recuerde por ese nombre.

This Microbyte Xmas ad is cool, showing that in 1988 there were still small computer store chains around - these were based in the north of England. Indies like this would sadly die out over the following decade as high street retailers ramped up their game and tech sales.
