The only Golden Age Slam Bradley story I could find on DCUI Ultra was this one from Detective Comics #2 and only as one of the reprinted stories in the DC's Greatest Detective Stories Ever Told TPB.

Similar to Katherine Marsh's The Lost Year, and Anne Blankman's The Blackbird Girls, its dual timeline results in a longer book. I had to build two worlds, two main characters, and secondary characters, and make them resonate through a variety of harmonics and overtones. #kidlit #middlegrade #poetry

The thing with Tolkien is that the signifiers of class he uses for his orcs are ones which interact with the position of American caste minorities in American society, because the signifiers of "low-class" take on racial overtones. That's not the text itself, however.

the cover up tattoo is Fenrir and apparently the specific Fenrir image he chose also has white supremacist overtones, at least per people more knowledgeable about Norse imagery appropriated by white supremacists than I am.

Like, I am old enough to remember powerful overtones of “sorry for getting loads of you killed, military aged men of the 1910s”. The aggressive rebrand to members of the public being urged to salute a battle tank pyrotechnically firing poppies out of its gun is IMO distasteful and even disrespectful
