-the possible permadeath of units and their long recovery time without grinding money is very silly.
-it does expect you to meaningfully engage with a class reincarnation system. this is A++ for me but hard for newcomers

my favourite RLs usually have enough stumbling room that playing without permadeath would also be a meaningful experience, esp if they have an option to play with other death consequences, and the ones I take most issue with aren't smaller scope games, but ones that are insecure about being smaller

It looks and plays like a Titan Quest style arpg but is very much a full on rpg! It's complex and has a unique take on permadeath but you can disable that with minimal loss of content. Lemme know if you need any help with the game.
