The Beast has been on my radar for a while to watch and I finally got around to it this weekend. It was a ponderous film to be sure, but I enjoyed it and wanted to just watch it again as soon as it was over. If you like a slow burn, this is a good one.

The Beast has been on my radar for a while to watch and I finally got around to it this weekend. It was a ponderous film to be sure, but I enjoyed it and wanted to just watch it again as soon as it was over. If you like a slow burn, this is a good one.
This is why keeping up a constant slow burn of negative engagement and blocking the ppl who act like assholes toward you works.
It's not just you doing the blocking. Ppl who find you and your views intolerable will do it in return.

for cosmic horror I can’t recommend the Southern Reach books enough - it’s sci fi/speculative, slow burn esp in the second book, but really fun payoff with a rabbit hole that just keeps going deeper

you might actually like this one, if you’ve never seen it. when i say it’s a slow burn, it’s a very slow burn. but it’s very well shot with some great scenery and framing and it gets quite creative as the story unfolds.
psa: the french crime classic ‘le samourai’ is on tubi right now. if you want a slow burn, psychological cat and mouse chase of a movie taking place in a dirty, glitzy, twisted paris, this is the one for you.

you might actually like this one, if you’ve never seen it. when i say it’s a slow burn, it’s a very slow burn. but it’s very well shot with some great scenery and framing and it gets quite creative as the story unfolds.

Ngl I adore the fact they made Lucanis Demi & Pan. The fact that he needs that connection for there to be a relationship and attraction is amazing and also very much fits his entire character. I wish they actually explored it more in the game instead of just the slow burn romance and side notes

I had a slow-burn project to handle “Fallout” in Fate Core. Then Fallout 2d20 came out. It was alright, but l parts of it are too crunchy for me. I’ve recently pivoted to “Fallout” via Daggerheart, but the process is inspiring me to go right back to Fallout Fate Core lol.
