The TTs were a highlight of my early TdFs in the Contador/Schleck/Evans era. Then because 2012 was boring they've barely tried a real TT since. We never saw peak Froome/Dumoulin/Porte in a TT heavy Tour decider, shame if this becomes true of Remco/Pog/Vingegaard already is for Roglic

I don't think that's how that works. Numbers of GC riders is not a sensible metric. Sensible metrics are
1. Ability to win GTs / the Tour right now.
2. Potential to win GTs / TdFs after the Pogacar era.

yes, PE is in some -401k TDFs whether you want it or not, so i refuse to participate in that option; worse, some pension funds are doing it too, LM made PE LARGEST holding in its main salaried pension fund 2024....brought the total return down to 1.5%! (i assume that was due to forced selling)

The Battle of Hostomel was quite famously carried by conscripts and TDFs with whatever basic small arms their armories could scrounge up fighting like fanatics to such an extent that the airport ceased to be usable for Russia to bring in reinforcements, he's straight-up just getting crossed with AC7
Also, this is a complete retelling of the first few months of the war lol, Ukraine used conventional firepower and weapons to stop the Russian advance, not drone swarms lol
