#Thing3
Wondering real hard if I've encountered some AI "autosummary" engine inverting the meaning of my email

because I'm trying to email someone saying "I have done [thing], here it is" and they are responding "we want to be working on [thing] along with [thing2] and [thing3] but we only have one […]

realistically i guess i have to do thing1

"that's too expensive, do thing2 instead"

i can't do thing2. i might be able to do thing3

"thing3 won't work"

fine... i'll try thing4...

"thing4 doesn't seem worth it"

it's not. neither are any of the other options.

"thing2 shouldn't be too bad"

And the documentation of the requirements and the implementation are typically scarce and not super useful.

COBOL claims the be self-documenting, but that just means
you can look at a line "ADD THING1 TO THING2 YIELDING THING3" and figure out that THING3=THING1+THING2
more easily than in assembler.

最近めちゃくちゃお気に入りのToDoアプリ(Thing3)が使えるのと、あと就寝時にベッドにiPhone持っていく必要なくなったのが結構革命かもしれない

honestly one of the best reasons to use @solidjs.com is the component so you don't have to this: {thing === thing1 && component} {thing === thing2 && component2} {thing === thing3 && component3}
which is both hideous and prone to bugs

This was a great viewer question!

How to get a list in a cell that looks like this “thing1;thing2;thing3” to look a bit more polished with spaces after the semicolons like this, “thing1; thing2; thing3”…

And the worst part is doing searches in Google that are "thing1 AND thing2 AND thing3" and Google burps they didn't find many results, but you can add some date before:20## and it just works as expected, if not better than expected.

Other thing³ are those payment processers the other reason that patreon suddenly became anti nsfw furry? Also @furaffinity.net since you do have nsfw furrt content could you shed light on the bs?

Just to add on the existing thread, look at nested if statements for your exact question. Not pretty, but;
if a
..if b then THING1
..else THING2
else
..if b then THING3
..else THING4

2/ (Note: My COBOL knowledge is from ~1960-1970.)
It's verbose. You write stuff like
ADD THING1 TO THING2 YIELDING THING3
instead of thing3=thing1+thing2
It reflects computer designs of the 1950s-70s, before 8bit-bytes were universal, numbers were stored in odd formats like Binary-coded-decimal,

Well, she’s a lead artist. I say stay til the end because Thing1 and Thing3 are her creations. She’s an expert in anything fur/hair, lighting and shadowing. She’s currently working on the upcoming Peanuts/Snoopy movie. FWIW, Montreal, despite the provincial gvmt remains a hub of 3d animation.

I would unironically be far less averse to using lisp if the standard was to format things like this:

(
thing1 (
thing 2 (
thing3
)
)
)

And not this:

(thing1
(thing2
(thing3)))

In high school, I wrote an English paper ... I don't even remember the specifics anymore. But the title was "Thing1 and Thing2 as the Bases for Thing3." My teacher gave me an A- because she said "Bases" was a typo. I'm still seething. This was 1988.
What meaningless thing/experience are you still mad about? Like it should not matter at all, DOES not matter at all. But you’re still MAD.

And how long has it been?

I bought some bagels at Hy-Vee four years ago. So bad. Too big. Hard. Bland. WORTHLESS.

I’m still FURIOUS.

We discovered Mia's love of necklaces yesterday. My friend's child called her the "Marilyn Monroe of dogs" and now I want to buy her a blonde wig and white dress and take adorable photos.

This still means #Thing2 (Don Jr) and #Thing3 (Eric) and #PrincessPussy (Ivanka) remain on the list!!

maybe I don't try to get insane strings of conditional checks like:

if thing1 && not thing2 OR thing3 && not thing4

to work

I should simplify this somehow

I love that Blender nowadays has a "Save Incremental" function, so with one simple hotkey you get your Thing, Thing1, Thing2, Thing3 🫣

Was talking about this today. In most of my work communications I turn compound sentences into bulletized lists.
"The item must have (thing1), (thing2), & (thing3)." Will be ignored, 15% success rate.
"The item must have :
- (thing1)
- (thing2)
- (thing3)."
Will have about a 75% success rate.
