It just shows how women like Pearl (right-wing, Maga, Tradwives, Pick-mes) are a cautionary tale of the dangers and humiliating miseries of internalized misogyny/antifeminism.
Pearl Davis is so profoundly stupid she must have a humiliation kink to keep speaking in public.

Anyway I would submit that those who insist that any attack on male supremacy or articulation of men’s exploitation and abuse of women is unacceptable and suspicious do indeed have a gender politics, and that the most apt name for it is “antifeminism.”
This essay also touches on something I’ve found especially painful: the hostility of some queer and psychoanalytic thinkers toward lesbian and radical feminist intellectuals—and the defensive, misogynist rejection of feminist idealism that motivates it. taliabhattwrites.substack.com/p/political-...

just a really good essay from bhatt on how antifeminism has used nationalism to dress itself up as feminism--and why this is so tightly connected with debates about heteropessimism and, ultimately, the love/hate relationship with lesbian feminists

"do i hate her or do i want to be her"

"yes"
@taliabhatt.itch.io remains one of the most exciting feminists working today, and now she's back cutting right into a queasy seam of the contemporary consensus--namely, the way that feminists and leftists "reconciled" themselves, and why it might be

Every day is a reminder that feminists were right about everything, all along. Too bad the internet came together to push antifeminism back into the mainstream bc it doesn't fit neatly in a left vs. right framing that so much of today's political discourse relies on.

Wait, is that not what happened??
Did she not have to send somebody to apologize for to the Big Leader, for having criticised him in 2024??
Did she not have to promise to not get political again, to only attack other female artists? #antifeminism

How do we know that's not what happened? #plausible

Open women-hating & antifeminism did the James Brown fake exit, they were never actually going to make it offstage

I continue to believe misogyny is the strongest force in society. It's all gender

The weaponized antifeminism in relation to women claiming spaces in media and talking about oppression and intersectionality has roots in older patterns, but is a distinctive evolution. I don't think anyone is arguing that it's sui generis. Like how naziism was linked to older hatreds.

it is a sign of normalized antifeminism that people just say out load with their whole chest and full conviction that it can’t possibly be a slur without so much as taking a cursory glance at feminist literature on the subject.
January 10, 2026 at 12:52 PM
also. i genuinely thought the proportion of pure transphobes who actually support women’s rights meaningfully was larger than it is which means that i really did meaningfully underestimate misogyny

i sincerely did not expect open woman-hating and antifeminism to be normalized ever

I could listen to Melinda Cooper *all day*. The synoptic view that takes us from 1970s working class decomposition and antifeminism to the Trump ascendancy is breathtaking. Only on @thedigradio.bsky.social, of course (thedigradio.com/podcast/coun...)

This is also reflected in the resurgence of chauvenistic antifeminism, wherein the health of the nation is represented by rugged patriarchal masculinity and pursued as such - at the expense of the feminist politics that actually make everyone's lives better, if also faggier.

also got hit with "you are not the primary target of transmisogyny" after some classic intersectional antifeminism. god forbid i talk about my own fucking oppression ever, jesus fucking christ.

im honestly just sad about this, like i genuinely feel like there's nowhere for me to feel safe online.

What’s driving the politics of social media #tradwives? Meaghan Furlano argues that tradwife critiques of feminism misdiagnose structural discontent, redirecting attention away from monopoly capitalism.

This isn't an attempt at an argument, btw. More sharing thoughts.

Truthfully I flew off the handle before mainly cause I've heard far worse arguments in service of queerphobia and antifeminism get made using your wording and that shitass LM photo as dogwistles, particularly wrt medical transition

Your games still would be there. Your porn would still be there. No one was taking that away from you. You know who is? The astroturfed hate movement that took this antifeminism ball and ran with it all the way to the corporations and heritage foundation that are as a policy.

Had no idea who Brigitte Bardot was, but considering she’s an old French Woman, was not surprised whatsoever at the anti-Muslim bigotry.

Was super surprised at the homophobia and antifeminism though, considering that she was a French actress.

If you spend much time investigating antifeminism on the religious right, it becomes apparent they all believe, deep down, that the specific domestic arrangements and general sex roles of 1950s America were ordained by God at the beginning of time.

Have started thinking of women whose personal loyalty to sexually abusive men (usually husbands or boyfriends; sometimes friends or sons) leads them to antifeminism and various other political commitments as “little Ghislaines.”

What these contemporary appropriations manifest is neither just sexual repression nor unleashed drives but a competing vision of the sexual (double) freedom that neoliberalism enforces... "Tradwives and bodybuilders are the cultural manifestation of the neoliberalism of the far right.”

“Mary Harrington is a British journalist. She coined the term reactionary feminism and advocated it in her 2023 book “Feminism Against Progress.””

British Antifeminism is homegrown and tied to transphobia.

Read: “Work Won't Love You Back" by Sarah Jaffe 2021 it goes into all over this.
The ‘great feminisation’ narrative—the idea that the increased presence of women in high-status jobs will destroy our institutions—could sadly be on its way to the UK, writes @polphilpod.bsky.social.

Maybe I'm overthinking it but idk, I only ever see men and a few women previously aligned with antifeminism bring this "positive male role model, we're failing men on the left" etc stuff up so it does feel a bit like coming at this from an angle that's just gonna be patching up bateman holes forever
