Unfortunately, I don't believe this to be true. Trump's big, ugly bill provides funding to ICE outside the normal appropriations process, so it won't be affected by a government shutdown.

I believe ICE has received the bulk of funding for the next 3 years, was passed last year in the republican reconciliation bill, or as we know it the big ugly bill. Shutting the govt. down hurts the hungry and the vulnerable as well.. so long term it’s not a win-win, and the GOP knows it.
