There’s also Pickens, SC. Named after Andrew Pickens “The Wizard Owl”, known for his role in the Battle of Cowpens in the Revolutionary War on January 17th, 1781. …and Cowpens means exactly what it sounds like… cow pens… a place to keep moo cows. 🐮
