La corta vida de Enrique González Tuñón, hermano mayor de Raúl González Tuñón, estuvo signada por el periodismo. Muchos de sus libros (publicados por el perspicaz editor Manuel Gleizer) son recopilaciones de crónicas escritas para medios gráficos. El primero, Tangos, con glosas y comentarios de composiciones publicadas en una sección fija del diario Crítica, guarda relación con Canciones de moda (La Docta Ignorancia, $ 40.000), que se presentará este miércoles a la tarde en la sede de la Academia Argentina de Letras (Sánchez de Bustamante 2663). Zambas, foxtrots, shimmys, rancheras, pasodobles y valses son algunas de las canciones que inspiraron a González Tuñón -autor de un homenaje a Ricardo Güiraldes y de una de las primeras “novelas de dictadores”- para su original columna semanal.

Ah, Dancing with the Stars. For so many of us, it’s been a glittering, sequin-filled constant on our screens, bringing together celebrities, professional dancers, and the kind of dramatic foxtrots that make you want to sign up for lessons.
